You're now chatting with a random stranger. Say hi!
You and the stranger both like Sherlock RP.
Stranger: It was a rainy evening when the blue box stopped outside of a nice house on the outskirts of London. Rich neighborhood, rich people. He looked about, knowing there had to be some reason he was here. He took Rose's hand and wandered out of the TARDIS, into the large house. From the kitchen he could hear the sound of an adult yelling at his son. A kid named Sherlock. The Doctor made a split second decision, swooping in and picking up the kid just as his father swung back to hit him. He rushed him back tot eh kitchen, putting him up on the counter. "You okay kid?"
You: Sherlock was being yelled at, again. He hadn't do anything this time, he had just told his mother that he noticed his father was having an affair with some other woman. He didn't think the truth could be wrong, or do so much damage. He was surprised, also, to learn that Mycroft knew, too, but never said anything. And now here he was, his father about to hit him again, and he was so stupid to stay still and wait for the blow, big tears threatening to roll down his cheeks at the only thought racing through his mind, the mind he hated, the mind he wanted to see destroyed in so many ways he had no idea where to start: "I hate me, I hate me, I hate me..." He interrupted this line of thoughts only when he felt someone pick him up and away from his father, and he looked utterly confused at the man his father was now shouting at, the sound distant to his ears. Sherlock nodded at the question, confused. "Who are you?" he asked, studying the man. He couldn't understand a thing about him, except that he looked like some sort of traveler and that, judging by his shoes, he ran a lot.
Stranger: The Doctor grinned, his calming, trusting grin. The one that only graced his face. "I'm the Doctor. And does this happen to you often?" Rose could be seen fuming behind him "Rose, don't. Please, I know it makes you angry but-"
"But he's a rubbish dad!" she yelled, "I didn't get mine and he would've been brilliant! So this kid has to suffer?" she crossed her arms, huffing.
Stranger: The large, drunken man came into the kitchen, still yelliing, now at the doctor. His mistake. Rose turned on him, yelling in her turn "Will you jus' shut up! Some of us don' get dads and yer doing a right bad job of it! Why don't you piss off!" the man got angrier, raising a hand against Rose this time, only to be met with a mean right hook to the jaw.
You: Sherlock looked at the man and at the woman behind him, still frowning in confusion. "Doctor who? I don't need a doctor, even if... Yes, it does happen a lot. But I suppose I deserve it, because I never know when to shut up and I'm some kind of little monster. That's what father says most of the times, anyways." the boy said, shrugging. "Why are you here?" he asked suspiciously, although the Doctor's smile was reassuring, but his face paled when his father entered the room. Oh, this was bad. And it could end worse, he was sure. But what he did not expect was for that young woman to hit his father back after yelling at him. Sherlock decided he liked her.
Stranger: The Doctor grinned at her despite himself. "I'm /the/ doctor not a doctor. It's my name." he explained, "This is my friend Rose, we travel the stars together. You do not deserve to be hit." Rose walked up beside him, still mildly miffed, "Nobody d''serves t'be hit like that." she mumbled, rubbing her fist. "Yer coming with us." The Doctor gave her a look, but seeing the man getting back up he picked Sherlock off the counter and put him on the floor "Here's the bit you'd better get used to. Run!"
You: The boy raised an eyebrow. "And I thought Sherlock was a cruel name." he murmured, eyeing the couple. "You travel the stars? That's not possible, unless you're astronauts, and you both look too young to be ones!" he said, but decided in fact to shut up. They didn't think he was strange? Well, they didn't know him yet, but they will find out soon eventually. Sherlock wasn't sure he could trust these two enough to follow them, but the idea of being with an angered father was far worse than being kidnapped by them. And so he ran, away from his house and father and brother, behind Rose and the Docotr that guided him outside, to a big blue box parked in his garden he had never seen before, and now admired with widened eyes.
Stranger: "I'm not young, Sherlock. You're about to see a whole new world. And you won't udnerstand any of it. I can tell you usually understand people. You might even be a genius!"
Rose leaned in, ruffling Sherlock's hair. "That is a compliment of the highest caliber from this man. He's nine hundred and three and has seen just about everything you could possibly see." she smiled, watching him disappear into the box. "And he's pretty brilliant too."
You: A genius. Nobody had ever called him that, just smart or very clever. And the only thing doctors said about him were that he might have mental health problems. But this doctor... THE Doctor... "Is he that old? How is that possible? Well, if it's true he can travel the space I suppose he might as well be from another planet. I want to see everything you have to show me! I want to learn!" he said, determined. Then he looked up at Rose, curiously. "Are you a genius, too?" He thought the Doctor would travel only with companions worth his time and intellect.
Stranger: She laughed, "No, no definitely not." getting up she brushed herself off. "It's what the Doctor does, I think. He takes perfectly ordinary people with him, because him, we're brilliant." she beamed at the kid, "He always says 'I've never met an unimportant person. and I never will.' That's why he's special, and I'll never leave him."
Stranger: ((oh god, the doomsday feels I just gave myself.))
You: [asdjfhdf NO.]
Stranger: ((im sorry. im so, so sorry))
You: Sherlock tilted his head to the side, trying to smile at the woman. "You do seem brilliant. He's probably right. And brave, no one ever hit my father before. Thanks..." he murmured, looking back at the box where the Doctor disappeared.
"Sherlock!" he heard his father's voice approaching from behind them and gasped, running towards the box. He opened the door and entered, his eyes widening again in surprise. "It's...!"
Stranger: "Bigger on the inside! I know!" he exclaimed, twilddiling buttons and slamming things with a hammer. "Rose do not hit him again, jsut get in the TARDIS!" she slumped inside, closing the door. "Fine. But you owe me for that one."
"Right, what do I owe you then?"
"Hamnin." The doctor rolled his eyes. "fine, but I don't know if we have trunks small enough for him."
You: "That's now what I wanted to say! It's dimensionally transcendental!" Sherlock said, looking around, his mind buzzing with new data, data he never thought it was even possible to collect. "Is this a space ship? How does it work? How big is it, where can he go?" he started questioning, already forgetting everything his father ever told him about shutting up.
Stranger: The Doctor seemed delighted at the words coming out of his mouth. "Rose!" he exclaimed, pointing at him.
"I get it, talk science, I'll go find something." she groaned, leaving. "Alright yes it is dimensionally transcendental, except it exists in the parallel of the time vortex allowing to travel through time and space. It's as big as it wants to be, the ship is a living thing. And it can go literally anywhere. Even a planet that has one land mass, an archipalago of trpoical islands."
You: "There is a time vortex- You travel in time as well?!" Sherlock asked excitedly, an ecstatic smile spreading on his face at every notion he was learning. "And we're going there, now, right? The ship is alive... It's impossible, but it actually is bigger on the inside, so I suppose it must be true..." he murmured to himself, looking around. "Doesn't it get offended if you hammer it?" he asked with a grin.
Stranger: "no, no." he smiled kindly, placing a hand on the console. "Never gets mad at me." he squatted, beckoning the child over to him, and looking him over once he arrived. "We won't be taking you back to your house, I hope you know. You're not staying with us either. I'll figure out something else to do." he nodded. "Rose will want to keep you, so I'm just letting you know."
You: Sherlock watched as the Doctor caressed the console, and shook his head. It was still strange to his brain to accept that a machine was alive. He approached the Doctor to listen what he had to say, and he could feel his face fall a bit at that. "Oh." Well, he had hoped someone might want him. "I see. Yes, it's alright, I'll say I don't want to go." he sighs.
You: sighed.*
Stranger: "I know kid. And I do want you, so does she. Problem is, the TARDIS is no place to grow up. How about I make you a promise. How old are you? Eight? I'll come back in two years, pick you up and take you on a trip." he winked "Only hit the double digits once you know."
You: "Why not? Everybody says I'm already grown up, after all, and I don't want to go back home after this..." he mumbled, looking down. But oh, that promise was promising, and he looked back up at the Doctor to get that wink. He smirked a bit. "Yes, well... Depends where will you take me."
Stranger: ""anywhere in the cosmos!" he said, throwing his hands up. "anywhere." he grinned and they talked, enjoying their trip so far. Arriving at the planet Rose appeared, holding out some shorts she ahd finally rustled up. She and the Doctor left the TARDIS, expecting Sherlock to follow.
You: "Everywhere." he nodded. Sherlock looked around the TARDIS, curiously, and in the end he decided to follow them out, eyeing cautiously the surroundings. They had actually landed somewhere, and it didn't look like the Earth judging bu the strange rocks he saw around and the strange colour of the sand.
Stranger: Rose was already half way intot he water, excited "Doctor! Why didn't you take me here sooner!" he was rushing out, panicked slightly, "Just take the breathing apparatus, alright? There's always a reason!" she reluctantly took it, rolling her eyes. The Doctor returned to the beach, relieved. "You take one too kid. There's a reason I don't come here."
You: Sherlock walked on the strange beach, puzzled, and he took the device the Doctor gave him. "Danger?" he asked simply, looking around. He didn't quite trust, let's say, anything on that planet.
Stranger: Rose shouted, "Doctor" just before getting pulled under, having put on the apparatus just in time. He jsut ran after her, no regard for his circumstances, "You can come too kid, but you should probably jsut get back in the tARDIS!"
You: Whatever it was under that water, Rose was in danger, and probably the Doctor would be soon, too. He should go back, yes, but they could as well need him. And let's face it, this was exciting. All but boring! So Sherlock put on the apparatus and run into the sea, following the Doctor and swimming underwater.
Stranger: The Doctor was already trying to negotiate with a naga underwater, completely furious. Rose was captured, but looked slightly bored, as if she already knew the doctor could accomplish what he had set out to. She waved at Sherlock, trying not to draw too much attention to him, but not wanting him to worry.
You: This, this was confusing. But nevertheless, it was still exciting. Sherlock swam towards Rose, breathing without problems and gesturing in confusion to her, wanting to know what was going on. Because this was strange, unexpected, bizarre to say the least.
Stranger: Two naga grabbed both of Sherlock's arms, bringing him near Rose. She slapped ahand to her forehead. The Doctor sighed exasperatedly. "I always say 'go back to the TARDIS' and they never listen! Never!"
You: Sherlock wriggled a bit, trying to calm down as Rose seemed to not be worried. "He said I could come!" he mumbled stubbornly, turning towards the creatures that held him down. "What are these?" he asked, trying to look at them.
Stranger: "Naga, and we can all understand each other. Watch what you say." he nodded. and began his converstaion again. Rose turned slightly to Sherlock, "The TARDIS makes you udnerstand other languages, boild down right to whats in your head. I mean, the doctor already speaks all the languages, but tis for people like us."
You: Ah, well. "Apologies, then. I meant no offence, but I have never seen creatures like you, uh, sirs?" he said, surprised. "Does it do all of this? It's incredible! I speak German and French, but I don't think I could ever speak their language..." he considered, looking back at the Doctor, admiring.
Stranger: "He speaks baby" she laughed. "A genius,e very sense of it." she beamed admiringly at the Doctor, who ahd just had themr eleased. "We;ve got to get out of here, now." he whispered quietly. "I told them I have something that I don't exactly...have."
You: "Baby!" he laughed a bit, shaking his head. Soon he found himself free and he looked at the Doctor, raising an eyebrow. "I see. We better go, then." Sherlock agreed, and started swimming towards the surface. Once back on the beach he waited for the others before running back at the TARDIS, feeling like laughing hysterically at everything.
Stranger: The Doctor followed him in, collapsing with laughter upon his entrance Rose followed them, stating "That tears it, you're really an eight-year-old." They started to head back, Rose gently explainng who they would be leaving him with. A nice alien family that had persception filters to look like thye were human.
You: Sherlock laughed with the Doctor, wondering what he could have promised the Nagas. "So, traveling with you it's not good but growing up with aliens is? Wow! Where are they, and what are they?" he asked, looking between Rose and the Doctor. "And you know, you two are a nice couple." he smiled, wondering how would be being raised by them.
Stranger: Rose blushed "Ah, we're not a couple." she said, covering her face a little. "Just good mates is all.."
The Doctor nodded a little hesitantly. "Just buddies. The aliens will explain it all to you, we've warned them we're bringing you. It's in Fitton. they've already got a kid, his name is Martin. We set them up with him too, similar situation."
You: "Oh, really? I thought so, buy the way you look at him and his pulse races when he's close to you... But his pulse looks strange, so I might be wrong." he said, nodding. "So you go around the world picking up children and letting them grow up with aliens couples? Are you an adoption agency?" he tilted his head, confused.
Stranger: "No, no,. the TARDIS and I just can't resist a crying child." he ushered Sherlock out onto a quiet, nicely lit street, rain still trickling down. "Your hosue is number five. Just tell them I sent you." he let loos a big grin. "I'll see you soon. Yes?"
You: Sherlock looked around, waving at Rose. "Yes, I hope so. It will be soon for you." he smiled at him, grateful. "I hope my brother won't find me. He's a genius too, you know?" he said. Then he saluted the Doctor and reached his new house, knocking and entering.
Stranger: The Doctor chuckled. IT was quite a while before he went to visit Sherlock though. He arrived in the garden of his home mid-afternoon two years later, nearly falling out the TARDIS. He sat down on the ground, waiting for Sherlock, no Rose in sight.
You: He heard the noise of the TARDIS landing and recognized it immediately. He rushed out of the house, knowing that Martin didn't want another trip with the Doctor, even though he was grateful to him, so Sherlock didn't even ask him to come. He reached the street and beamed at the man, running towards him but stopping midway. "What's wrong?" he asked.
Stranger: The Doctor's face was sad. Tired. "Sherlock, I don't know how to tell you... she;s gone." he sighed, holding tears back "She's gone. I lost her." he frowned, puling a hand over his face. "I'm so sorry."
You: Sherlock looked down at the distressed man. He didn't remember him being so small, but it probably was because he had grown up a bit. He sat beside him, pulling his knees to his chest and intertwining his hands in front of them. "Is she still alive?" he asked, not turning towards him. "You said you *lost* her. So I suppose she is. And she trusted you, so you'll see each other again. I'm sure." he said.
Stranger: He sighed "I don't know. She's in an alternate dimension. I can't... I can never see her again." he paused, choking up a little "And I was mid sentence, trying to tell her." he stopped. "All I got out was 'Rose Tyler'"
You: "Oh." Sherlock whispered, looking down. "Well, she knows it, I'm sure." he said, not really knowing how to cheer up the Doctor. "And who knows, if she got there there might as well be a way to bring her back. You can never know."
Stranger: He nodded, not believing Sherlock, he knew too much. "Can I have a hug Sherlock? That's what I could really use. A hug." he sighed. "I met this lady,s he was sort of awful, but thuroughly interesting. Saved my life, she did. slapped me several times too!"
You: "So you go from slaps to hug? Fair enough." he smiled, and complied. The hug was perhaps a bit awkward, but not as bad as he was used receiving back home. "You probably saved mine, I hope you know that."
Stranger: "It;s my job. What I'm still here for." he said, smiling kindly. "That day, nobody died. Generally, that's pretty good day." he laughed a little, "The best of days are like that, a little bit of running, bit of danger, but no death, no injuries."
You: Sherlock nods, patting the Doctor's back. "I'm sure most days are like that, aren't they? It's not your fault, never. All lives end, all hearts are broken. Both hearts, I think, am I correct?"
Stranger: He laughed, "Yes, remember that, that may come in handy someday. Someday, I might need you Sherlock. I might need you to save me." he looked far off. "Someday, I won't look like this anymore, and then not like that anymore. I will regenerate."
You: "Regenerate? Is it part of your alien nature?" he asked, curiously. He knew nothing about this man, not much more apart the time-traveling part. There was so much more to learn! "What could I ever do to help you? That sounds a bit unrealistic..."
Stranger: "It completely is realiztic. This is my tenth face Sherlock. I regenerate when I'm nearly dead. But there's a bit more to it. I try to regenerate inside the TARDIS, as it regulates certain factors of the regeneration, as set within the console." he nodded, "There are certain things about me that, so long as I regenerate in the tARDIS, will never change."
You: "That's very useful, isn't it? And interesting, also. I wonder how it works..." he mutters to himself, before moving to the next part of the statement. So the TARDIS helped him. "For example?" Sherlock asked, curious as he had never been about anything.
Stranger: "For example, gender. I have it set to keep me male. And tall. I prefer it that way." he nodded. "Risked it a few times, regenerating outside but I've managed to come out alright. I've also got it set to two legs. Would be awkward if it were any other way."
You: Sherlock nodded and chuckled a bit. "Female could be interesting, but I'm sure male is more comfortable. And yes, tall helps, let me tell you. You can always set in finding a short companion, if you ever need short legs. Which, I suppose, are useful with you running routine and all. Two is better, yes." he smiled.
Stranger: The Doctor nodded, ruffling Sherlock's hair. "Kid, I can't take you on any adventures this time. It's too fdangerous right now, I'm not in a right state." he paused, "Good men don't need rules, and I don't need you to find out why I have so many."
You: "Better this way, I understand." he sighed. He hoped to see Rose again, and the stars, but well. "Yes, I can imagine that. I suppose I'll need rules, too." he smiled at him, half jokingly. "Will you come and visit me again?" he asked, hopeful.
Stranger: "I'll do my very best." he said, grinning the same smile he always wore. "I came to say hello, and to rbing you a present." he handed over a small package containing the breathing apparatus from the first time they traveled together. "Keep it safe, won't you?"
You: Sherlock opened the package curiously, smiling widely at the memory. "Oh, you can bet. I'll keep it as safe as I can, and I'll protect it with my life if necessary. Let's hope keeping it under the bed will be enough." he chuckled. "Thank you."
Stranger: "Not aproblem." he said, grinning. "I'll see you alter Sherlock, yeah?" he lcimbed intot eh TARDIS taking off. The next time he appeared was several years in the future, Sherlock's first year at uni. Floppy-haired now, he picked the lock to Sherlock's room, or rather, soniced it. "Hello there." he said, walking in, closing it behind him. "Heard you were sulking for three days ebcause of something a kid yelled at you."
You: Sherlock eyed annoyingly at the strange man he found at his locker, presuming who he was, but not sure about it. "Called me freak. Again." he simply said, by now as tall as the Doctor's new regeneration. He glanced at his pulse point, grinning when he noticed it was doubled. "So, this is your regeneration?"
Stranger: "Ah yes, messy buisness it was." he nodded. "Thought I'd come cheer you up!" he clapped his hands together, nearly spinning around the room. "So! Before my new friends get here, what should I tell you?"
You: "New friends?" he followed him curiously with his eyes, tilting his head to the side. "Well, a visit from you is already quite helpful, if you want my opinion." Sherlock smiled.
Stranger: "How is it helpful?" he asked, a little confused, "Yes, I've got some new friends. NAmes are Amy and Rory, married couple, but your age. Very sweet actually. Rory is anyway. Amy is a lot like Donna, that woman that I was telling you about ebfore? She traveled with me a bit... she was my best mate." he paused, shaking his head. This Doctor had an immature air around him, as if trying to fight off his past. "And MArtha, oh Martha Jones, brilliant she was! I can actually visit her if I like. /That/ one turned out well for me."
You: "It's always nice to see you're alright, more or less. I wonder about your brain sometimes, but only because I know it's hard to keep a genius going." he smirked a bit cocky. "You can visit me, too. I guess you've lost many on the long run, didn't you? I would have loved to meet them all." he said. Sherlock remembered when he dreamt of living adventures like the Doctor's, with a faithful friend with him, but now he wondered how good such a thing could ever turn out to be.
Stranger: "well you'll meet two of them." he nodded as the door opened again, a ginger woman and a man with a remarkably large nose appearing int he doorway. "Doctor, I thought you said this guy was brilliant? Why are we in a university dorm?" the woman asked, looking at him with a bit of confusion.
You: "Why, can't I be brilliant if I entered Uni a year earlier?" Sherlock looked at the couple and raised an eyebrow at them. "A policewoman and a nurse, Doctor?" he asked, turning towards the Gallifreian.
Stranger: "Well she's not exact-" Amy elbowed her husband in the ribs. "Yes, a policeman and a nurse." she finished. The Doctor just grinned, "They're brilliant!" he worried the Sherlock might feel negelcted and ruffled his hair, a familiar theme with him. "You're brilliant too, kid."
Stranger: policewoman*
You: Sherlock smiled proudly at the three of them, still letting the Doctor ruffle his hair. He was the only one with that privilege. "So, why are you here if I may ask? It's not that I'm not happy, but to cheer me up? Really? Just that?" he asked, dubiously.
Stranger: "Yes of course!" he said, jumping a little. "I figured if you're going to shut yourself up in your room all weekend just for being called a freak, well I might as well keep you company." he sat down next to the teenager "Us weirdos have to stick together you know."
You: "Really? A weekend with the Doctor, sounds almost like a movie. We could as well go somewhere interesting, you promised me after all!" Sherlock said, unable to refrain the excited tone in his voice.
Stranger: amy frowned almost immediately. It had been a rough couple of months. "Ah, not a good idea. We sort of had an... incident. A couple of incidents really. There were cracks and then Amy was living skin and then she was pregnant and had a baby. And then the baby was living flesh and dissolved." Amy twinged at that part. "Stop it doctor."
You: Sherlock frowned at all of that, confused. "A-ha. I see. I mean, not really, but I can imagine." he turned towards the woman. "I'm sorry to hear, but I'm sure everything will be fine." he said with a tentative smile. "But just so you know, Doctor, next time you will have to take me somewhere."
Stranger: "Oh definitely. Next time, it's your turn kid." he grinned. It was finally a different smile, something sad was behind it. the Doctor had been warned about something in his future. "Definitely your turn, alright?" he got up, stretching as for right now, why don't we show off your friends!" he began walking out the door. "What's the kid's name? What's he look like?"
You: Something in that smile told Sherlock not to get his hopes up, but he returned it nevertheless. "Yes, alright. I'm counting on it." more or less. "Show off? I hope you won't hit him with that bow-tie of yours." he said, eyeing the thing. "He's called Sebastian Wilkes, studies economy."
Stranger: "Alrighty!" he walked out fo the room and could be heard loudly greeting the man, shortly after telling him how he was a successful buisnessman, and sherlock was a good friend of him. "Buisnessman?" Amy snorted, "I hope he doesn't think he's fooling anyone."
"Psychic paper." Rory reminded her gently "He'll believe him."
You: Sherlock looked at the Doctor, a smug smile on his face. "I'm sure he will fool Wilkes. Only thing he wants is to be successful, doesn't really care who will bring him up." he explains, looking at the couple. They were strange, but they looked pretty happy together although what they've been through.
Stranger: Rory studied his face "Why are you looking at me like that, can you tell we know he.. well, he..."
Amy cut hin, "He's going to die Sherlock. Soon." she frowned, "We watched it happen."
You: Sherlock's eyes widened and he turned toward the Doctor. His shoulders sunk and his heart felt heavier than ever. "He will die. No regeneration." he repeated, a bit mechanically, biting his lips. "I see."
Stranger: Rory chimed in "I don't believe it. He's not like that. I don't think he really died. The universe would fall to bits if he did."
Amy looked at him, "Rory, that's sweet, but we watched it happen."
You: "And how comes he's there?" he asked, turning back to the Ponds. "Nothing is what it seems with the Doctor, is it? Death can be fooled in many ways. Faked, even." he said, thinking. How?
Stranger: "I really hope so." AMy replied, a little sadly. "I'd really like to slap him for it." Rory chuckled at that, recieving a minor glare form his wife. "We're leaving soon, he says you're used to that." she added. "He's really sorry about it. Nearly never shuts up about you."
You: "Time can be rewritten. It's relative, isn't it?" he sighed, smirking at the comment. "Be careful, his new cheekbones might be dangerous." he joked. Ah, leaving already? "Yes, I suppose I am. I have just now understood why, though, and even if I'm grateful I'd rather travel with him and get lost than stay here." he said. "Unless he knows this world needs me anchored here." he mumbled. Then, he looked at them surprised. "He talks about me a lot?"
Stranger: Rory grinned ear to ear "So much. A ridiculous amount really. All about his brilliant detective this, his brilliant detective that." he laughed "We know all the stories. He's been reading the papers as they follow you. He got upset recently though, it said the Holmeses had found you."
You: Sherlock smiled flattered, his ears flushing a bit. "Well, I wouldn't define myself a detective yet, but I'm working on it. And yes, I went back home. Things were better, Mummy had came back and dad had went away. Mycroft, my brother, wasn't much there with his job. Mum understood and..: Well. I'm alright, now." he said.
Stranger: Amy smiled, "Glad to hear it. He worries you know. About everyone really. You especially though." The doctor came back through the door, handing Sherlock the psychic paper, he might leave you be for a bit now!" he grinned ear to ear. "Great, isn't it?"
You: "What is this?" Sherlock asked, looking at the white paper in his hand confusingly. There was nothing strange with it, how did it work? "Thank you very much, I hope he will stop being so annoying all the time. And let's hope other people won't start taking his place." he smiled at the Doctor.
Stranger: "Psychic paper... you really don't." he whipped around, "Rory what's it say?"
"I speak baby. Certified baby language specialist." he laughed, "oh that's a funny one!" The Doctor turned back to Sherlock grinning even more. ""Brilliant. Just... absolutely brilliant."
You: Sherlock laughed at just everything, shaking his head. Then, like he did years earlier, he hugged the Doctor, patting him on the back. "It's been nice to have seen you again." he said, pulling back.
Stranger: "It's always nice to see you Sherlock. I'll be back." he frowned, "Just, remember what I said last time I visited. About needing you." his face went back to his goofy grin. "Bye then!" he flounced out the door.
The Doctor reappeared that lst time another several years later,, at the door to 221B, bleeding heavily from the stomach. "Hello Sherlock." he wheezed.
You: Sherlock would remember for many years about that, and he intended to keep his word. That's why, when he found a bleeding Doctor at his door, he didn't lost his composure. Not too much, at least; last thing he needed was him back at his eight years old status, and freaking out. No, he needed "John, grab the first aid kit and come help me!" he called for /his/ doctor, practically dragging the Gallifreian in the flat and on the couch. "What the hell did you do, this time?" he asked, growling.
"Oh my God, Sherlock, who's that?" John asked, confused.
Stranger: "I got shot. Plain and simple. Back, front, sides." he stopped swallowing hard. "Shot. This is what I meant about my future sherlock I got warned by me. this is not going to be an easy one. I'm not going to be able to walk for a little while, and I may go unconscious for a scary amount of time. I'm also going to be a bit... shocking." she frowned, "I don't have the TARDIS."
Stranger: he*
You: "Shot? And what about regeneration?" he asked, shaking his head. John approached that stranger, used to Sherlock's weirdnesses, and started treating him. "Who is this, Sherlock?" he asked again, but Sherlock had paled. "How did you get here, then? Do you need me to go find it?" he asked, almost panicking. "He's the Doctor John, cure him, we'll talk later!"
Stranger: "Hey" he grabbed Sherlock's hand as he tried retreating "No leaving me. That was part of the deal. And I'm going to, I'm just not there yet. The TARDIS is in your brother's office, I'll be able to get it later. I got here by walking, naturally. I tried running but the result was a little gross."
You: "So Mycroft has a role in this, too? Nice to know." he snorted, looking at the Doctor. "Alright, I won't leave. Ah, this is John, my... Colleague." he said, but John shook his head. "Friend." he corrected him, eliciting a smile from the detective. "Who shot you?" John asked, not helping himself.
Stranger: "Couple of guys in suits." The Doctor said, getting more and more uncomfortable "And I know all about John Watson, kid." he held out his hand and ruffled the army doctor's hair instead this time. "Great guy, Wonderful swearing vocabulary. I mean really."
You: Sherlock and John exchanged a glance. "Moriarty?" John said, and Sherlock nodded. "Perhaps. Wait, how do you know about him?" the detective asked and John looked confused, but kept working on the Doctor's wounds, shaking his head at the absurdity of it all.
Stranger: The Doctor waved John away "It's no use John. It's going to happen, you try to fix it or not. And I carried you to the med tent in afghanistan. That was a fun, loud bit of running. And I don't think it was your friend Jim, he and I have an agreement. He knows he can't get to me."
You: "It was you?" John widened his eyes in shock. "I still have to try!"
Sherlock rubbed his temples, information rushing into his skull. "What do you mean you have an agreement with him? I hope you know what you're doing..."
Stranger: "I have a very special agreement with him sherlock." he locked eyes with the detective. "A promise, even. If he makes certain events occur... then I have to do something I will not enjoy." he winced at John attempting to fix him up. "Really it's more painful with you touching it like that. It'll probably go faster if you stop."
You: Sherlock gestured for John to stop, and he obliged with a frustrated face. "You'll tell me more about it, won't you?" he asked, sighing. "What events, what do you have to do, please tell me the world isn't going to end."
Stranger: "No, no it won't... his brain will implode though. Literally." he frowned, the dark look crossing his face, but snapping back almost immediately to a gleeful one. "Oh, step back." he remarked as he began to glow yellow, he features becoming boscured by the light. When it subsided, a young woman sat in his place, the same grin on her face. "Shocked?" she asked.

You: Sherlock stares at the regeneration, as did John with wide eyes. "A bit." the doctor said, and Sherlock tilted his head to the side. "We could've took you to the TARDIS, why did you let yourself regenerate as a woman?" he asked, confused.
Stranger: "You would not have gotten me into Mycroft's office alive." she replied, waving a hand nochalantly, "Plus, I came to myself from the future, sort of... informed myself about all this." she grinned, attempting to stand up, and falling back tot he couch quickly. "Yeah.... Forgot about that time."
You: "I see." Sherlock said. John backed to his armchair, falling heavily onto it, shocked. "That was weird." he mumbled, wondering vaguely if Sherlock was an alien too. "Luckily you still got legs." Sherlock said pointing at them, sitting next to the Doctor. Or rather, the Doctress?
Stranger: She laughed. "Two of them even!" she held open her arms to hug Sherlock, it had been a long time. "Come on then." she had been tlaking about Sherlock a lto recently, but there wasn't anyone about to hear it anymore. So it was just him, or her really, and the TARDIS, talking about the detective.
You: "Come on? Where?" he asked, eyes lighting up. "A journey?" he sounded as excited as a baby, really. "Can John come? Oh, please, he's going to love it, and you're going to love him! He's amazing, fantastic! Brilliant! And John, the Doctor, the time and space, it's all so exciting! Will you come with us?" John seemed even more shocked, and he wondered if the detective had just gone bonkers.
Stranger: She laughed, placing a hand over her stomach where htere had previously been a gun wound. "Sherlock, I meant come on and hug me. but yes, John came come, I'm perfectly aware he's brilliant, and I definitely told you your turn was coming." she nodded. "But for now...?"
You: John laughed with the Doctor as Sherlock flushed. "Oh, right."
"Women are not his area, Doctor, forgive him." John snorted as the consulting detective hugged the woman, awkwardly at first but then more naturally. "Thank you Doctor!" he heard him say, and John wondered what role this woman has had in his friend's life.
Stranger: She grinned the same grin she had always had, squeezing him. "I missed you." when he pulled away she stuck out a hand and ruffled his hair. "There's a lot of that now, more than before." she noticed. "So, could I have some tea? I could use a good cup, and I hear John makes one."
You: "I let it grow, too lazy to cut it." Sherlock explained with a grin, and John had never seen him so lively with anybody. "I've waited for you, you know that, so there's no point in saying that I missed you too."
"Ah, yes, I think I'll go prepare some tea right now." the army doctor said feeling a bit of a third wheel.
Stranger: "Thank you!" she cheered, glad. "So then, what;s going on in your life? How are you doing?" she paused, "How well do you know Moriarty?" she searched his face, as usual, unreadable. She could only see he was excited to see her. "How long have I been gone?"
You: "It's going well, I can say. I'm the only consulting detective, I have a nice flat and a nicer flatmate. Haven't been this good in a while." He looked over at the Doctor, seriously. "I don't know much about him. He's a consulting criminal apparently, and he's got his hands in many things. I'm still investigating. You've been gone for a good eighteen years, actually." he said with a sigh. "I was starting to worry."
Stranger: "I'm so sorry Sherlock. Things have been hectic." she paused, moments of time passing through her mind "Really hectic." she place a hand over her head. "Oh I could really use that tea, I might pass out. This is ridiculous." the chord about Moriarty finally struck her "Good, very good. Best that he not get close to you, better that I not have to get rid of him."
You: "That I could tell." Sherlock smiled. John went back to the living room with three mugs of tea, handing one each to the Doctor and Sherlock, interrupting the conversation just when he catched a phrase. "No, he's mine. I'll get rid of him, is my case."
You: "What are you two talking about...?"
Stranger: The Doctor took the mug gratefully, sipping it. "Moriarty. He's a problem,a nd threat to the universe Sherlock. Messing with you is not all he's been up to." she eexhaled deeply "Oh this /is/ good. Thank you very much John. Tea can save a life you know."
You: Sherlock sat in his armchair, John imitating him soon. "He's a threat to the universe? He's brilliant, but he couldn't do such thing, not alone at least. Did you help him too, in the past?" the detective asked, his voice a bit accusatory and hurt.
Stranger: "No, he's been consorting with a few...aliens I know. They're known as Sontarans, a war-mongering species. I've never helped him Sherlock." she defended "Don't sound so hurt." she sighed, could you ask your brother why he wants me dead? I'd appreciate that.
You: Sherlock sighed in relief, looking into his mug guiltily. "Sorry, I just... I'm an idiot, I should have known. Well, if it has to do with war aliens I can't do much about it, can I?" John took a sip of his tea, wondering when he would wake up. "I suppose he wants to know what did you do to Queen Victoria, actually."
Stranger: She laughed wildly. "We saved her! From werewolves!" she continued laughing, "Rose and I we.." she paused, pushing through it "There were werewolves in Scotland and we met the queen. she founded the organization that separated us."
You: "Torchwood." Sherlock said, curling his lips in distaste. "Yes, I've met them few times. Captain Jack was a friend of yours, I presume?" he asked, smiling faintly. Well, that man was reasonable enough compared to the rest of them. "I'm still very sorry. Did you manage to see her again?"
Stranger: "Once." she sighed, "I left her with a copy of me, a human copy. She's happy now, I hope." she smiled at Torchwood's mention, "You've met Jack? Lovely isn't he? Oh no, he didn't introduce himself did he? That's just how it starts. then the hitting on you and all that. Watch out."
You: "Told you you would." he smiled, a tiny bit relieved. He didn't dare ask about the others. "Oh, don't tell me about that!" John interrupted the conversation. "He surely did introduce himself, and when Sherlock stopped answering he turned his attentions on me!" he said, causing Sherlock to frown. He hadn't been happy about that.
Stranger: She laughed, "Oh no. Can't tell you I haven't been there before. I usually just stop him before he finished say Hello." she nodded, she noted Sherlock's expression, confused. "How are you two? Happy?"
You: Sherlock looked up at the Doctor, expression unreadable, and John flushed a bit and covered his face with a hand. "No, we're... We're not a couple. Just good buddies, nothing more." he said as if he'd been through it plenty of times. And well, he had. "Yes, just good mates." Sherlock said, nodding and looking down.
Stranger: "Alright then." she raised an eyebrow at Sherlock, things didn't quite add up still. She picked her legs up, swinging them on the couch. "If it's alright with you, it'd be best if I slept here tonight."
You: "Oh, do take my bed. I don't use it anyways." Sherlock said, smiling, and John looked if possible even more confused. But he said nothing, and Sherlock kept rambling about how he needed to work on an experiment in any case.
