No one could get used to the drying heat of the desert, unless they had been born there, between the sandy dunes of the Great Egyptian Realm he was the Prince of, and to which he had never really felt to belong to.
Loki looked dreadfully at the glaring sun, its golden rays reflecting over the tiny grains of the same colour that seemed to be just everywhere his eyes rested, like a sea: he hated that colour, and how it made him feel out of place, amidst all that blood-boiling hot air and blinding light.
He was more like the sky, he thought, of that blue that was the only colour that wouldn’t make him feel an outcast and that didn’t make him think of sand, desert and never ending warmth, a colour that he could compare to only another thing he had seen in his whole life that possessed a similar shade, a pair of eyes; and thinking about these eyes, a face and a smile he felt home, even between the golden waves that so much looked like the desert’s sand.
Oh God it’s harder than it seems! Thanks for the prompt!!!
“Do you know what he calls you? The Ice Man… And the Virgin!”
- Irene Adler, A Scandal in Belgravia (BBC Sherlock)
I couldn’t resist this one!
…wait, you’re leaving already?
Loki still had the Casket of Ancient Winters with him when he fell from the bifrost. If he had so desired, he could have unleashed the icy powers of the casket on the Avengers and Midgard, could have frozen them in an instant. But he didn’t—because he is Loki of Asgard, not a Jotun, not one of the monsters he tried to destroy. Because he will never allow himself to accept that.

Guys, what do you think it’s the best religious fandom?
Because Catholicisms has pretty good fanfictions, but I hate the ship wars.
Greeks are cool too, fanfics are awesome and all, but the fandom is a bit dead.
I think Norse win. I mean, they have everything! Fanfictions, fancomics, even an anime and a movie! And have you seen the cosplayers?
This guy’s helmet must’ve been pretty expansive, not to talk about the staff and outfit. I know good cosplayers, but damn!
Do you think he sew it himself?
Sorry, I can’t help but reblog this photoset. HE LOOKS SO SHOCKED, OMG, HE’S SO ADORABLE.
